Dear Current and Future PhilaNOMA Members,

Before there was a formal organization, running across the country strong minded Black and minority Architects met in community and action. The groups were smaller and less visible while their work was antipodal to the foundation of NOMA and where we are today. Ultimately, the heart of PhilaNOMA is the fellowship carried from member to member and generation to generation. We honor that legacy through our craft and community.  

The progression towards togetherness, empowerment, and opportunity which we crave is rooted in reaching a handout and showing up. This is how doors were opened behind you, and we encourage you to participate in the growing legacy of Black and minority Architects in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Philadelphia is the city of brotherhood and PhilaNOMA is family, so please make yourself at home and join us in the plight to bestow fairness and advancement of our community.

We aim to grow this community as large as possible to strengthen our impact on our members, communities, and industry. There is room for everyone in PhilaNOMA to be part of this ascent.
