WHY JOIN US?

We believe our core strength comes from the participation and commitment of our members.  It is their support and involvement that allows us to provide professional development, networking, volunteer and mentoring resources to the Philadelphia design community.  PhilaNOMA welcomes all who support our mission to champion diversity in the architecture and design profession to become a member! Membership is open to all, regardless of race, age, religion, gender, nationality or profession.

Becoming a NOMA member allows you to network at a national and local level with architects and design professionals of color. Joining NOMA means you join a local chapter as well! PhilaNOMA is the local chapter for the Pennsylvania and Delaware regions.  We are an active chapter that is fully committed to service, mentorship and your professional development.

We hope that you decide to lend your ideas, your talents and your energy to our chapter as we continue NOMA's mission of advancing the cause and addressing the concerns of minority design professionals!

MEMBERSHIP FAQ's

Q. Can I be a PhilaNOMA member without becoming a national NOMA member?
A. NOMA membership is both national and local.  You cannot be a PhilaNOMA chapter member without first joining NOMA.  Likewise, a person seeking NOMA membership is required to join a local chapter or specify a regional membership designation.

Q. Is NOMA membership prorated?
A. NOMA membership is not prorated. Membership is from January to December of the same year. If you join in June, your membership fees will cost the same as if you had joined in January.  It is always best to join early in the year so you can take advantage of a full year’s membership!
